The following are Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any questions, please feel free to check this page to see if they have been asked. Otherwise, contact us by email or phone and we will respond to your question personally.

Q: Can I have someone set up my Instant Shelter?
A: Absolutely, give us a call and we'll work out the details for you to ensure your shelter is set up properly. Shelter assembly instructions are provided on the Assembly page as well as some helpful hints and additional product information.

Q: Are your shelters suitable for use as a garage for my car or truck?
A: Definitely, they make great portable garages and prove to be very economical when compared with the price of a wood, concrete or steel garage.

Q: What colours are available?
A: Blue, white, green, grey, tan or translucent, or any combination of those colours.

Q: Is snow load a problem?
A: Generally not. The type of fabric used has the ability to shed the snow and does not build up enough to be a concern. At times of high build up, snow can be removed by shaking the trusses or tapping the inside of the roof with a soft broom. Additional bracing can be added if you are in a high snow load area.

Q: Should the skirt be buried?
A: No. The skirt is designed to allow wind to escape from the building.

Q: Is wind a problem?
A: Generally not. In high wind areas, building should be placed with prevailing wind on back or side. During wind storms, the zippers on the doors should be kept closed. Additional bracing can be added to your custom portable garage if wind is a concern in your area.

Q: Do anchors come with the buildings?
A: Yes. The duck-bill anchor system is used and the recommended number of anchors are supplied with each portable garage.

Q: Is condensation a problem?
A: In areas where there is a high amount of moisture content in the ground, a vent is recommended. If you are building on a gravel bed, we recommend that you lay vapour barrier under the top layer of gravel to stop the moisture from coming up through the ground.

Q: Does my insurance cover the contents?
A: Normal household insurance should cover the building and the contents. However, check with your insurance company for details about your specific policy.
